Bangalore Super Division

Bangalore Super Division is the top division football league in the Indian state of Karnataka, started in 2005. The winner is awarded George Hoover trophy.
==Structure==
It features the best ten teams of Bangalore affiliated to the BDFA competing for the George Hoover Trophy. The league is played in a single leg format where all the teams play against each other at least once. All the matches are played at Bangalore Football stadium in Ashok Nagar. Three points are awarded for a win, one for a draw and zero for a loss. At the end of the season a table of the final League standings is determined, based on the following criteria in this order: points obtained, goal difference, and goals scored.
At the end of each season the champion club will be promoted to I-League 2nd Division.〔(NPL Champions to have shot at I-League ), The Morung Times, 11 November 2011〕
